PRESSURE
Regardless of our age, circumstances, and/or status in life, we all suffer from some form of pressure. For some it's financial issues, for others it's the struggle to do what's right and we all suffer from some form of emotional or physical sickness from time to time. The earth's most valuable treasures and commodities, such as oil, silver, and gold, are produced due to “pressure". What's the point? No matter what we are going through, if we fight to maintain a positive outlook on life we can find ways of turning bad circumstances into meaningful experiences. Essentially, turning our various "pressures" into valuable treasures. After adding up to 1/4" of texture by splashing multiple layers of acrylic to the canvas and using my "secret" tool to achieve a variety of distressed markings I then created a unique mixture of acrylic, mineral spirits, and an industrial-grade high gloss gel based oil paint for the black splatter effect.
