Established in 2009, Clay & Chloe is a Chicago-based jewelry label built on love, partnership, and craftsmanship. Founded by husband-and-wife duo John “Clay” and Chloe Clayborn, the brand embodies a balance of quiet luxury and urban edge—where timeless gemstones meet modern design sensibility.

The story begins in two places: Chloe was born in the Philippines and moved to Chicago in her teens, while Clay was born and raised in the city. Years later, their paths aligned. Within five months they were married, and soon after, they created something new together—their jewelry brand, Clay & Chloe.

Nearly all of the pieces are handcrafted in-house by the founders and a circle of skilled jewelers. Each bead is individually chosen for its quality, texture, and natural character. Clay & Chloe believes jewelry is more than an accessory—it is a form of personal storytelling that bridges a love for cities, nature, and style.
